I can’t tell from the signature in the photo if this is Beaton shooting Garbo or Ziegler shooting deCourcy. Maybe it doesn’t matter.
It is Ziegler shooting de Courcy! But I am flattered that you think it might be Beaton shooting Garbo. He took many lovely photos of her. I have them in books and find them very inspirational. And I love that he shot her in both glamor shots and real life activities shots! He even shot a passport photo for her once when she was in a hurry. Imagine being able to phone Sir Cecil Beaton when you needed a new passport photo! I’d like to be able to do that! I encourage you and my other followers to read about them and see their work for they both personify the style of Lady Violette. People should google Cecil Beaton and Greta Garbo for starters. And definitely watch all her movies. Truly beautiful!
